The incident occurred when Deputies with the East Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station spotted the stolen car and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The suspects refused to comply, leading to a chase that ended when the teens lost control on an off-ramp and crashed into a wall, destroying their vehicle and trapping three of them inside. Emergency responders arrived to extract the juveniles from the wreckage and transport them to a local hospital for medical treatment.
