The Supreme Court has convicted former MLA Munna Shukla and Mantu Tiwari for the 1998 murder of former Bihar minister Brij Bihari Prasad. The court overturned the Patna High Court’s acquittal of all accused and sentenced Shukla and Tiwari to life imprisonment. The court also upheld the acquittal of six other accused, including former MP Suraj Bhan Singh, due to insufficient evidence.
