The Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB) is participating for the seventh consecutive year at The Meetings Show London 2024, promoting Penang as a premier destination for business events. The Malaysian Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (MACEOS) has appointed Datuk Dr M Gandhi as its new President for the 2024/2026 term. Artisan Venture Tours (AVT), a Montana-based corporate retreat and business event planner, has successfully orchestrated its largest retreat to date. The small, three-woman team planned a record-breaking event for Starbucks Reserve Chicago Roastery, hosting 350 attendees from Gamma Technologies, a global simulation software engineering company. The event celebrated Gamma Technologies’ 30th anniversary and brought together employees from around the world, including from Germany, Italy, India, Czech Republic, Greece, and more.
Sydney, Australia’s business events industry is thriving, with the city securing 103 events expected to generate over $507 million in direct expenditure for the local economy between now and 2030. This announcement was made at IMEX in Frankfurt, Germany, by BESydney CEO Lyn Lewis-Smith. These events will attract around 128,000 delegates, significantly boosting the local visitor economy.
