JD Vance, Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate in Ohio, brought his German Shepherd, Atlas, along on the campaign trail in Milwaukee on Friday. Atlas, a four-legged member of the Vance family, enthusiastically joined his owner on the Trump campaign plane, even braving the rainy weather. The campaign plane, however, experienced a malfunction with the door seal, forcing an emergency landing back in Milwaukee. Vance joked about Atlas’ dislike for wet metal stairs and his dog’s tendency to gravitate towards those who aren’t dog lovers.
