Several roads and businesses in Guelph, Ontario were closed on Tuesday morning due to a suspicious package investigation. The incident, which took place in the city’s north end, prompted police to evacuate the area and close Woodlawn Road, Silvercreek Parkway, and Fair Road while they investigated. The package, which was initially discovered by staff at the Canada Post depot on Woodlawn Road, was later determined not to be suspicious by the Waterloo regional police’s explosives disposal unit.
