The Los Angeles Fire Department is seeking adorable canine companions to compete in its ‘Howling Heroes’ Mascot contest. Dog owners can submit photos and votes, with each vote contributing to the LAFD Foundation’s funding for crucial equipment and programs, including canine therapy and search and rescue. The top vote-getters will be evaluated by a panel of judges, including Fire Chief Kristin Crowley, with the winner receiving recognition, a professional photo shoot, and bragging rights. Second and third-place winners will also receive LAFD apparel gift baskets.
