Tragic Aftermath: Wife of Dalit Man Allegedly Murdered in Caste Killing Attempts Suicide

Two months after the brutal murder of G Praveen, a 22-year-old Dalit man, his wife Sharmila, 21, allegedly attempted suicide and later died on Monday, April 22, in a Chennai hospital. Praveen’s family, including his mother Chitra, believes Sharmila’s suicide was a result of distress caused by alleged police negligence and caste violence.
