BJP Mahila Morcha Demands Justice for Neha Hiremath, Seeks CBI Inquiry into Hubballi Murder

Members of the BJP’s women’s wing, Mahila Morcha, held a candlelight vigil in Bengaluru on Tuesday, demanding justice for 23-year-old Neha Hiremath, who was stabbed to death on her college campus in Hubballi last week. The activists gathered near Freedom Park for a condolence meeting and staged a demonstration to condemn the crime. Union Minister of State for Agriculture & Farmer’s Welfare Shobha Karandlaje joined the protest, along with other BJP supporters. The protestors demanded a CBI inquiry into the murder and sought capital punishment for the accused. They also accused the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government of being responsible for the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. Meanwhile, in Hubballi, the BJP’s student wing ABVP held a torchlight march, demanding justice for Neha and seeking a CBI probe.
