The Rouse Avenue Court has extended the judicial custody of former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia until May 30 in connection with the Delhi Liquor Excise policy 2021-22 case. Sisodia was initially arrested by the CBI on February 26 and later by the ED on March 9. The court also adjourned the hearing on framing charges against Sisodia in light of directions from the Delhi High Court. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has apprehended former DHFL director Dheeraj Wadhawan in relation to a colossal bank fraud case involving 34,000 crores. Notably, the DHFL case marks the largest banking loan fraud in the country, with a consortium of 17 banks allegedly defrauded.
