The arrest comes after Wadhawan’s previous detention in the Yes Bank corruption case. Notably, the DHFL case marks the largest banking loan fraud in the country, with a consortium of 17 banks allegedly defrauded. Regulatory authorities have also taken action against the Wadhawan brothers, attaching their assets to recover outstanding dues. The Delhi High Court is currently considering a bail plea from Dheeraj Wadhawan, who has cited medical grounds for his release.
