The Combined Defence Service (CDS) exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to recruit officers for the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. The exam is conducted in two stages: a written exam followed by an interview. The written exam comprises three subjects: English, General Knowledge, and Elementary Mathematics (for IMA, INA, and AFA only). The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the results for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination 1 2024 on Tuesday, May 9, 2024. The written exam for CDS 1 2024 was conducted on April 21, 2024. The results are now available on the official website of UPSC. A total of 8373 candidates have qualified for the next stage of the selection process based on their performance in the written exam. The CDS exam is held twice a year, in April and September, to select candidates for admission to the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA), and Officers Training Academy (OTA).
