This system, similar to one previously implemented, utilizes a zero to five-star rating based on various performance criteria. The Greater Chennai City Police (GCP) has inducted three new puppies into its Sniffer Dog Squad. These Belgian Malinois puppies have been named ‘Carlos’, ‘Charles’, and ‘Lando’ and will undergo specialized training to assist in crime detection, bomb detection, and drug detection. The squad currently consists of a total of 21 sniffer dogs, with 14 specializing in bomb detection, six in crime detection, and one in drug detection. The addition of these new puppies will strengthen the squad’s capabilities in ensuring public safety.
