Madhuri, the daughter of YSR Congress Party Rajya Sabha MP Beeda Masthan Rao, allegedly ran over a man sleeping on a pavement with her BMW. The man, Surya, died of his injuries, and Madhuri was granted bail. Meanwhile, the Pune Porsche case continues to draw attention, with the JJB facing scrutiny for granting lenient bail conditions to the minor accused. The investigation into both cases highlights the concerns surrounding road safety and the accountability of those involved in such accidents.

Power Cuts in Chennai on Friday: Pattabiram, Thandurai, Sekkadu Affected

Several areas of Chennai will face power cuts on Friday (May 17) due to maintenance work by the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Company (TANGEDCO). The power outage will affect Pattabiram, Thandurai, Iyyappan Nagar, Sekkadu, Gopalapuram East & West, Thendral Nagar, Mullai Nagar, South Bazar, Vallalar Nagar, Venkatapuram, Anna Nagar, C.T.H. Road, Charles Nagar, Drivers Colony, Modern City, Kamarajapuram, Sasthri Nagar, I.A.F. Road, and all other surrounding areas from 9 am to 12 noon on Friday.

International Space Station Dazzles Chennai Skies

The International Space Station (ISS), the third brightest object in the night sky, graced the skies of Chennai on May 10th. Following NASA’s announcement of the ISS’s visibility in Indian cities, residents witnessed the awe-inspiring spectacle and captured its presence on social media. The ISS’s appearance drew much excitement, with users sharing their joy at witnessing the celestial marvel with their bare eyes. Despite the cloudy weather, the ISS’s brightness made it a sight to behold, appearing as a moving star. Additional sightings are expected in Chennai on May 11th at 5.02 am, May 12th at 4.14 am and 7.08 pm, May 13th at 5 am, and May 14th at 4.14 am.
