Michigan Woman Faces Murder Charges After Drunk Driving Crash Kills Two Children

A 66-year-old Michigan woman, Marshella Chidester, is facing numerous charges, including second-degree murder and driving under the influence causing death, after crashing her SUV into a children’s birthday party on Saturday, resulting in the tragic deaths of two young siblings, 4-year-old Zayna Phillips and 8-year-old Alanah Phillips. Additionally, 13 others were injured, with five remaining in critical condition. According to authorities, Chidester’s blood alcohol level was significantly above the legal limit, and her attorney’s claim that she suffered a seizure is being disputed by prosecutors.
