China’s Zhejiang and Hungary’s Baranya Celebrate 20 Years of Amity and Culture

The 20th anniversary of friendly relations between China’s Zhejiang province and Hungary’s Baranya County was marked by a gathering of officials and dignitaries at the Expo Center PÉCS. The event also saw the opening of the ‘Oriental Aesthetics Exhibition: Encountering Poetic Zhejiang in the 24 Solar Terms,’ which showcased China’s rich cultural heritage. Approximately 150 guests attended, including Yi Lianhong, Secretary of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee; Őri László, President of the Baranya County Assembly; Sun Jie, Cultural Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Hungary; and Chen Guangsheng, Director of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism. The exhibition was divided into four themed sections, each highlighting the profound philosophical and cultural insights of traditional Chinese culture as it relates to the solar terms. The event marked not only two decades of partnership but also set the stage for ongoing cultural exchanges and cooperation.
