EU Commission Raids Chinese Company Under Foreign Subsidies Regulation

The European Commission has conducted the first raid under the Foreign Subsidies Regulation, targeting an unnamed Chinese security equipment company. The Chinese Chamber of Commerce to the EU has expressed concern over the unannounced raids, claiming that enforcement agencies seized company equipment and demanded access to data. The Commission has previously opened several investigations into Chinese companies under the regulation and has launched a probe into medical devices today.
