A suicide bombing in Pakistan in March that killed five Chinese engineers and a Pakistani driver was planned in neighboring Afghanistan and carried out by an Afghan citizen, Pakistan’s military said on Tuesday. The military also said that Pakistani Taliban based in Afghanistan were responsible for a surge in attacks inside Pakistan since January, which have killed 62 security forces nationwide. The Pakistani Taliban has denied involvement in the March attack, however, the military claims to have solid evidence of the group’s involvement. The attack has prompted several foreign embassies to take extra security measures and issue warnings to their citizens in Pakistan.
