The Arlington Entertainment District, home to Globe Life Field, will host a series of major events including the MLB All-Star Game, World Cup matches, and NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four. To enhance the district, the Arlington city council is considering renovations to the former Rangers stadium, Choctaw Stadium, to improve public safety, street frontage activation, and parking availability. The city is expected to provide approximately $4.2 million towards the project, with the Texas Rangers covering the remaining costs. The renovations will complement the upcoming developments in the area, including the One Rangers Way apartments and the National Medal of Honor Museum.
