Cirrus Aircraft, a private jet maker, saw its revenue and profits surge in the first half of 2024. However, its share price remains depressed due to concerns about its majority ownership by a Chinese state-owned aerospace company, AVIC. While Cirrus insists it doesn’t produce military equipment, the potential for U.S. sanctions creates uncertainty for investors.
Western Michigan University’s College of Aviation has received seven Cirrus TRAC20 G7 aircraft, as part of a larger purchase agreement for 32 aircraft. These advanced flight training aircraft will replace the university’s current fleet of SR20s and provide students with state-of-the-art training equipment. The TRAC20 G7 features the latest Garmin Perspective Touch+ flight deck system, enhanced safety features, and a Cirrus Airframe Parachute System.
