Saskatchewan teachers have resumed job action in an effort to pressure the provincial government back into bargaining over class size and student support issues. The job action involves teachers refusing to volunteer for lunchroom supervision and extracurricular activities, as well as arriving at school only 15 minutes before classes start and leaving 15 minutes after they end. This has led to some schools having to reschedule bus times and shorten their days. The job action is the latest development in a lengthy negotiation between teachers and the Saskatchewan Party government over a new collective agreement.
