London Ranked World’s Cleverest City, Washington DC Surprises

London has been crowned the world’s cleverest city, according to a recent study by Oxford Economics. The study assessed global cities based on their economic index, human capital, quality of life, environment, and governance. London ranked first in the human capital category, which takes into consideration factors such as educational attainment, universities, and population growth. The Big Smoke is home to around 40 educational institutions and over 200 museums, contributing to its high ranking. Meanwhile, Washington DC, despite being the political capital of the United States, ranked only seventh in the cleverest city list. However, the study also highlighted that New York City and Boston secured spots in the top 10. The study found that New York City excelled in economic contributions and innovation, while London ranked second in this category.
