Cyclone Dana Threatens Eastern India: Schools Closed, Coastal Areas on High Alert

As Cyclone Dana approaches the eastern coast of India, West Bengal and Odisha are taking precautionary measures. Schools in nine districts of West Bengal, including Kolkata, will be closed from October 23 to 26, while Odisha has ordered school closures in 14 districts. The Indian Meteorological Department predicts the storm will intensify into a severe cyclonic storm by October 23, making landfall near Puri and Sagar Island on October 24.
