Under the guidance of former NFL coach Robert Livingston, Colorado safety Shilo Sanders is showing signs of becoming a top-tier player. Livingston, who coached Jesse Bates during his time with the Cincinnati Bengals, sees similarities between the two safeties. Sanders, a transfer from South Carolina and Jackson State, made an immediate impact with the Buffaloes last year, finishing second on the team in tackles. Livingston believes Sanders and fellow safety Cam’Ron Silmon-Craig can be the leaders of the Colorado defense. Despite a disappointing 4-8 record in 2023, the Buffs are motivated to improve this season and are embracing Livingston’s emphasis on playing with fun and freedom.

Kennedy Sanders, a highly touted recruit who redshirted her freshman season at Colorado, is eager to make an impact as a sophomore. The 5-foot-8 point guard from Chaska, Minn., was a three-time first-team all-conference selection in high school and averaged 17.3 points on the AAU circuit in 2022. After breaking her foot last May, Sanders spent last season redshirting, rehabilitating, and acclimating to the college game. She is now one of the veterans on the team and is expected to play a significant role in the upcoming season.
Syracuse football has bolstered its offensive line with the addition of transfer offensive tackle Savion Washington from Colorado. Washington, a 6-foot-8, 320-pound tackle, has played in 10 games for the Buffaloes last season and has a 3-star transfer rating from 247Sports Composite. He joins Notre Dame cornerback Clarence Lewis as the second transfer to join Syracuse during the second transfer window.
Colorado Buffaloes running back Dylan Edwards has entered the transfer portal after just one season with the program. The dynamic sophomore led the Buffs in rushing last season with 321 yards and also caught 36 passes for 299 yards and four touchdowns. Edwards’ departure is the latest in a string of players to leave the Buffs this spring, including fellow running back Sy’veon Wilkerson and long snapper Cameron Warchuck.
Colorado’s football program has gained a boost on the offensive side with the verbal commitment of former Ohio State running back Dallan Hayden. Hayden, a sophomore with three years of eligibility left, brings substantial experience to the Buffaloes’ running back corps. However, the team has also experienced some roster attrition, with cornerback Adam Hopkins and defensive end JJ Hawkins entering the transfer portal.
Cody Williams, the younger brother of Oklahoma City Thunder’s Jalen Williams, has declared for the NBA draft and is projected as a lottery pick. The 6-foot-8 forward earned Pac-12 All-Freshman Team honors this season. Williams, considered a high-ceiling prospect due to his size and versatility, is likely to be a top-10 pick. His strong performance this season helped elevate Colorado to the NCAA Tournament. Colorado will face challenges filling the void left by Williams’ departure, but they have a promising prospect in incoming recruit, Andrew Crawford.
