China’s domestically-produced C919 commercial jet has reached a significant milestone, carrying over 500,000 passengers since its launch in May 2023. The Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) is set to deliver its first-ever C919 aircraft to Air China and China Southern Airlines on August 28th, marking a major milestone in China’s aviation industry. This delivery follows China Eastern Airlines becoming the launch customer and receiving seven C919s to date.
