Mexico celebrated a major milestone with the inauguration of the Lerma-Santa Fe segment of the Mexico City-Toluca commuter train. The event marked a decade since construction began and saw the attendance of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and President-elect Claudia Sheinbaum. The newly opened segment is the longest part of the route and brings the total completed length closer to completion, with only two more stations remaining. The train aims to offer a faster and more efficient commute between the two cities, serving 230,000 passengers daily once fully operational.
