New England Revolution Bolsters Defense with Acquisition of Xavier Arreaga

The New England Revolution have acquired veteran defender Xavier Arreaga from the Seattle Sounders in exchange for a 2025 international roster slot and up to $75,000 in general allocation money. Arreaga, 29, brings a wealth of experience to the Revolution, having won an MLS Cup title with the Sounders in 2019 and the 2022 CONCACAF Champions Cup. The Ecuadorian defender has appeared in over 100 MLS regular-season games and has played in more than 220 matches across all competitions.

Club America Hosts Pachuca in CONCACAF Champions Cup Semifinal

Two Liga MX powerhouses, Club America and C.F. Pachuca, will face off in the first leg of the 2024 CONCACAF Champions Cup semifinal on Tuesday, April 23rd, at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. Pachuca advanced to the semis with a 7-1 aggregate victory over Costa Rican side C.S. Herediano, while Club America cruised past the New England Revolution with a 9-2 aggregate scoreline.
