Alec Baldwin was involved in a public altercation at a New York City cafe, where a woman confronted him over the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the fatal shooting on the ‘Rust’ film set.
The woman, known as Crackhead Barney, repeatedly asked Baldwin to say ‘Free Palestine’ and ‘F— Israel,’ while also accusing him of killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
Baldwin held the door open for the woman and told her to ‘get out,’ eventually snatching her phone out of her hand. Crackhead Barney claimed she was attacked but Baldwin’s representatives denied this.
Entertainment Weekly received a statement from Crackhead Barney’s publicist, asserting the incident was a critique of the entertainment industry’s silence on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Baldwin is facing charges of involuntary manslaughter in connection with Hutchins’ death and is scheduled to appear in court in July.
