The leadership confusion within the Congress government in Karnataka is affecting the state’s law and order situation, according to K. Annamalai, the president of the BJP’s Tamil Nadu unit. Annamalai pointed out that multiple power centers exist within the government, including Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, CM-in-waiting D.K. Shivakumar, Siddaramaiah’s son Yathindra, Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara, and Satish Jarkiholi, all vying for the top position. Additionally, Annamalai claimed that Randeep Singh Surjewala, a national leader, also interferes in the governance, adding to the confusion. This situation, he argued, has hindered the maintenance of law and order in the state. Annamalai also raised concerns about the proliferation of conflicting narratives within the Congress party, with leaders making different promises to voters in different regions, which he believes undermines the party’s credibility and consistency.
Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kumar Kateel of the BJP has expressed concern over the current state of affairs in Karnataka, alleging a rise in fear and anxiety since the Congress government came to power. Kateel has demanded a CBI probe into the Neha murder case in Hubballi and urged the government to provide compensation to her family.
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) will investigate the murder of Neha Hiremath, announced Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. The family will meet the police to discuss the case and the investigation will be conducted to ensure the death penalty is given to the accused.
