Ford’s BlueCruise Under Investigation After Fatal Crashes

Federal safety regulators have launched an investigation into Ford’s hands-free driver assistance system, BlueCruise, after it was active during two recent fatal crashes involving stationary vehicles. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) confirmed that BlueCruise was engaged in both incidents, which occurred in Texas and Pennsylvania. These are the first known fatalities resulting from crashes attributed to the use of BlueCruise.
