Pietro (Piero) Pucci, a renowned classical scholar who spent over 50 years at Cornell University’s Department of Classics, passed away in Paris at the age of 96. Known for his exceptional scholarship and interdisciplinary approach, Pucci’s contributions to ancient literature have left a lasting legacy in the field of classical philology. Along with being a dedicated teacher and mentor, he played a significant role in the establishment of the CorHaLi graduate student-faculty conference on Greek poetry.
