Google has laid off its entire Python team in a cost-cutting move, opting to hire cheaper labor outside the United States. The affected team was responsible for maintaining Google’s Python ecosystem and developing type-checkers. This layoff follows previous cuts in Google’s real estate, finance, engineering, hardware, and assistant teams.
