Failed Coup Attempt in Kinshasa Neutralized, American and British Nationals Arrested

In the early hours of Sunday, a group of individuals, including American and British nationals, attempted a coup in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The plot was swiftly thwarted by security forces, resulting in the death of Christian Malanga, the alleged orchestrator of the coup. Several other attackers were apprehended, including the second-in-command, a naturalized British citizen. The coup plotters targeted the residences of high-ranking officials but failed to locate them or gain entry to their homes.
