Haryana Vigilante Group Kills Class 12 Student in Mistaken Identity

A vigilante group in Haryana fatally shot a class 12 student after mistaking him for a cattle smuggler. The incident, which occurred on August 23, has sparked outrage and highlighted the dangers of vigilante justice. The suspects, who are now in police custody, chased the victim’s car for 30 kilometers before shooting him. The victim, Aryan Mishra, died the following day from his injuries.

In a disturbing incident, a 60-year-old man was allegedly stripped, tied to a motorcycle, and dragged by three individuals on suspicion of cow smuggling in Garhwa district, Jharkhand. The victim, Surswati Ram, was intercepted on his way to Banshidhar Nagar Untari with his cattle when he was accused of involvement in cow smuggling. According to the Banshidhar Nagar Untari sub-divisional police officer, an FIR has been lodged and one of the accused, Kashinath Bhuiyan, has been arrested while the search for the remaining two continues.
