Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Diagnosed with Lung Inflammation, Receiving Treatment in Jeddah

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud has been diagnosed with lung inflammation and is undergoing treatment in Jeddah. The 88-year-old monarch’s condition has forced Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to postpone a planned trip to Japan. The Crown Prince, the de facto ruler of Saudi Arabia, met with US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan on Sunday to discuss regional developments, including the conflict in Gaza and the need for a two-state solution.
