IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced plans to expand its presence in Egypt with the addition of two new Crowne Plaza hotels, set to open in 2028. Located in the New Administrative Capital and New Cairo Yellow areas, these hotels will cater to both leisure and business travelers, offering a blend of premium hospitality and convenience. The Crowne Plaza Cairo New Administrative Capital and Crowne Plaza New Cairo Yellow will enhance Egypt’s tourism offerings, attracting more tourists and business travelers to the region.

In a strategic move, IHG Hotels & Resorts has partnered with SLRV Hotels Pvt Ltd to establish a Crowne Plaza hotel in Amritsar. The Crowne Plaza Amritsar Airport, scheduled to open in late 2028, will comprise 136 well-appointed rooms. This marks IHG’s fourth Crowne Plaza property in Punjab and the first in the holy city of Amritsar.
