Markus Rooth of Norway claimed gold in the men’s decathlon at the Paris 2024 Olympics, scoring 8,796 points. Defending champion Damian Warner’s title defense ended prematurely after failing to clear a height in the pole vault. Germany’s Leo Neugebauer took silver with 8,748 points, while Lindon Victor of Grenada secured bronze with 8,711 points.
