Three Long Beach boys, two of whom are teenagers, have been arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon for allegedly beating a homeless man with tent poles and a tripod. The incident occurred on Saturday, April 20, at around 6:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Pacific Avenue. The victim, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, was treated by the Long Beach Fire Department. The boys, whose identities have not been released due to their juvenile status, also threw objects at the victim. They fled the scene but were later apprehended by police. The 14-year-old suspect was additionally booked for resisting arrest.
