A fire broke out on Tuesday at Eye Mantra Hospital located in the Paschim Vihar area of west Delhi. Firefighting personnel responded swiftly and successfully evacuated all individuals from the building, preventing any injuries. Six fire tenders were deployed to suppress the blaze, which originated on the hospital’s second floor.
Several schools in Delhi-NCR received bomb threat emails on Wednesday, leading to panic and school closures. However, Delhi Fire Services Director Atul Garg believes the threats are likely hoaxes, as they originated from a Russian domain (‘mail.ru’). The emails prompted a massive response from authorities, with fire tenders sent to all affected locations, but nothing suspicious was found. Police and bomb squads are investigating the incident, and security has been beefed up across Delhi, including the Delhi Metro network.
