AIIMS Neurosciences Centre Operations Disrupted by Heavy Rains in Delhi

Heavy rainfall in Delhi led to waterlogging at AIIMS, impacting operations at the Neurosciences Centre. All operation theatres were rendered non-functional due to air-conditioning issues and water seepage, forcing the referral of patients to other hospitals. While some emergency surgeries were performed, the situation highlights the infrastructure challenges posed by extreme weather events.

Monsoon Expected to Reach Delhi by End of Week, Bringing Relief from Heat

The monsoon is predicted to arrive in Delhi by the end of this week, offering a much-needed respite from the current humid weather conditions. Skymet Weather Services has forecast the monsoon’s arrival on June 29th or 30th, while the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has not provided a specific date. The IMD, however, has issued a forecast for scattered light to moderate rainfall across several regions, including Delhi, from June 27th onwards.
