Iran Unveils 600+ Investment Packages for Tourism Growth

In a concerted effort to stimulate tourism growth, Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Ministry has introduced over 600 investment packages. This comprehensive initiative aims to attract investors, both domestic and international, through strategic collaborations between government entities and the private sector. The packages span various aspects of tourism, including water-based activities, heritage conservation, and urban development.

Jennifer Jensen Joins GDS-Movement as UK Relationship Manager

Jennifer Jensen has joined the Global Destination Sustainability Movement (GDS-Movement) team as the UK Relationship Manager. She joins the GDS-Movement UK team, helping to develop exciting projects. Jennifer brings over two decades of rich experience in tourism and destination marketing to her new role. In her role, Jennifer will apply her expertise to support UK Local Visitor Economy Partnerships (LVEPs) and Destination Development Partnerships (DDPs), leveraging GDS-Movement’s experience in collaborating with 17 UK destinations to create and execute regenerative tourism strategies, measurement programmes, and storytelling initiatives. Additionally, she will provide vital assistance to Visit England, particularly in their project with the English Core Cities, guiding them through their GDS-Index benchmarking journey to achieve their sustainability goals efficiently and effectively.

CHTA Caribbean Travel Forum 2024: Reshaping the Tourism Landscape in the Caribbean

The third annual Caribbean Travel Forum, hosted by the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA), is set to take place in Montego Bay, Jamaica, on May 20, 2024. This pivotal event brings together leading experts from the region and around the world to explore business opportunities and strategies for the thriving Caribbean tourism sector.

The forum will feature keynote speeches from renowned travel writer and destination development advisor Doug Lansky, who will provide insights on adapting to the evolving Caribbean tourism market, and CHTA President Nicola Madden-Greig, who will share data and insights from the association’s annual Performance and Outlook Survey.

The event will also include presentations from key figures in the public and private sectors, addressing crucial topics such as leveraging data for informed decision-making, enhancing multi-destination marketing, and promoting intra-Caribbean travel.
