UK and Saudi Arabia Collaborate on Tourism Development

Britain’s VisitBritain and the Saudi Tourism Authority have signed a Declaration of Intent to collaborate on tourism development between the two nations, focusing on the exchange of knowledge and expertise in both domestic and international tourism. The agreement was signed at the GREAT FUTURES trade expo in Riyadh, an event sponsored by the UK Government’s GREAT campaign in partnership with the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Munich Tourism Showcases Diverse Offerings at Arabian Travel Market

Munich Tourism is participating at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) from May 6-9 to present the great diversity of Munich to travel partners and agents from the Gulf region and beyond. The city’s tourism offerings include five-star hospitality, destination management companies, medical tourism, shopping, and sporting events. Munich is a popular destination for travelers from the Gulf region, and the ATM provides an opportunity to deepen existing relationships and find new partners.

PATA Destination Marketing Forum 2024 to be Held in Thailand

The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) will hold its 2024 Destination Marketing Forum (PDMF 2024) in Cha-Am, Phetchaburi Province, Thailand, from November 12-14, 2024. Organized in collaboration with the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), the city of Phetchaburi, and the Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Administration (DASTA), with support from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the event will focus on promoting responsible and sustainable tourism growth in secondary and tertiary destinations. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the region’s natural landscapes and cultural treasures during a one-day destination experience, followed by a one-day forum with networking opportunities.
