The news comes three months after the death of the brand’s CEO, Gilles Elalouf, who had founded the label in 2010. Martens is set to continue his role as creative director at Diesel.

Glenn Martens, the innovative designer known for his experimental silhouettes and successful tenure at Diesel, has left his position as creative director of Y/Project after eleven years. Martens, a graduate of the prestigious Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, began his career at Jean Paul Gaultier before joining Y/Project in 2010. His playful and avant-garde designs earned him recognition, including the LVMH Prize in 2017.
