Volgarr the Viking 2, the sequel to the 2013 retro throwback platformer, lives up to its predecessor’s reputation for being difficult but fair. The demo at Guerilla Collective featured a snowy level filled with grotesque creatures and challenging platforming sections. Despite not being able to beat the demo, the preview left a positive impression, with its rewarding gameplay and promising features like practice mode and unlimited continues. Volgarr the Viking 2 is set to release on August 6 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
