The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University (ASU) offers a unique bilingual journalism training program that equips students with the skills and experience needed to fill the growing demand for diverse voices in newsrooms across the country. With few such programs available in the U.S., ASU’s program is making a significant contribution by providing a pipeline of newly trained journalists who are ready to tackle the challenges and opportunities of a rapidly changing media landscape. The program’s recent Spanish newscast, which marked the end of the semester, showcased the students’ hard work and dedication, highlighting the importance of bilingual journalism in fostering a more inclusive and informed society.
