After providing proof of payment multiple times, the DMV continued to claim the balance was unpaid. Ernst criticized the outdated system, saying, “In today’s digital age, what system are they working with?” The DMV apologized for the inconvenience but encouraged drivers to explore alternative payment options like e-checks.
