One DoorDash customer shares how a handwritten note from a driver named Leah made him realize the importance of tipping. He believes that if all drivers did something similar, tipping would increase significantly.
Vallarta Supermarkets has teamed up with DoorDash, allowing customers to order groceries and have them delivered to their homes via the DoorDash app. The partnership includes the delivery of fresh meat cuts from the carniceria, as well as traditional cultural items such as tamales and pozole. A DoorDash driver in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, had her car stolen while making a food delivery. Casey Miller, the victim, left her car running for less than a minute to drop off an order when a burgundy SUV approached. A passenger jumped out, got into her white 2015 Toyota Corolla, and drove off. Miller is now out of a car and a job. DoorDash does not provide drivers with insurance, and Miller’s insurance is not covering the cost of a rental car. She is warning other delivery drivers to be aware of their surroundings and not to leave their cars running.
