The news comes via an Instagram Story shared by Costume Designer Carol Deelay, who shared a photo of a clapper board reading ‘Severance Season 2’ and confirmed that production had concluded. Production on Season 2 was briefly halted due to strikes by the Writers Guild of America and Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists in May 2023. A release date for the new season has not yet been announced.
