Gafar Bakare, 36, was sentenced to eight years and seven months in prison for his role in a drug gang operating in north London. Bakare was in charge of two drug lines that made almost £320,000 in 2022. He used addicts to sell Class A drugs across Camden and Islington. Police identified the criminal network in January 2022 and monitored their movements. They searched eight addresses on December 13, 2022, seizing drugs worth £14,000 and criminal property worth £4,000. Bakare’s arrest and conviction is part of a broader effort by police to tackle drug supply in north London.
