Tenderloin Curfew Proposed to Combat Illegal Drug Markets in San Francisco

San Francisco Mayor London Breed has proposed a curfew for retail stores in the Tenderloin district, aiming to curb illegal drug activity. The ordinance would mandate that liquor stores, smoke shops, and corner markets close between midnight and 5 a.m. Affected businesses within the specified boundaries would face fines of $1,000 per hour of non-compliance. If approved by the Board of Supervisors, the curfew would be implemented as a one-year pilot program.
