Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), a major player in the global events industry, significantly contributed to Dubai’s economy in 2023. The venue hosted 301 events, including 76 large-scale gatherings, which attracted 2.47 million participants. These events generated a total economic output of US$4.98 billion, a 40% increase from the previous year. The MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) ecosystem, including travel, accommodation, and retail, experienced significant growth due to DWTC’s events. DWTC’s impact extended beyond financial gains, supporting 69,281 jobs and generating US$915 million in disposable household income. The venue’s strategic alignment with Dubai’s economic priorities, such as healthcare, IT, and hospitality, further contributed to the city’s economic success.
